Individual Therapy for Adults in Calgary & Across Alberta
Individual Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Individual therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what you're carrying, and reconnect with yourself.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, or a life transition, we'll work together to understand the patterns that have helped you cope, protect yourself, or get through difficult experiences while creating space for greater regulation, ease, connection, and choice.
You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Sometimes it's enough to simply notice that something feels heavy, disconnected, or ready to change.
I offer virtual individual therapy for adults across Alberta, including Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding communities.
What brings people to individual therapy?
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing:
-
Anxiety, chronic worry, overthinking, or feeling like your mind never fully slows down
-
Trauma or past experiences that still feel present in your daily life
-
Burnout, emotional exhaustion, or difficulty resting even when you're tired
-
Relationship challenges or recurring patterns that leave you feeling disconnected, unseen, or stuck
-
People-pleasing, perfectionism, or difficulty setting boundaries
-
Feeling disconnected from yourself, your emotions, or your body
-
Grief, loss, or navigating a significant life transition
-
High-functioning anxiety—appearing capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside
-
A desire to better understand yourself, your patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change
Whatever brings you here, your experiences make sense in the context of your life, relationships, and nervous system. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and begin relating to yourself with greater understanding, compassion, and choice.
How individual therapy can help
Therapy isn't about becoming someone different.
It's about creating enough space and safety to understand yourself more fully and gently shift the patterns that no longer serve you.
Together, we may explore:
-
How your nervous system responds to stress, relationships, and uncertainty
-
Patterns that feel repetitive or difficult to change
-
The impact of past experiences on your present life
-
Building emotional regulation and grounding skills
-
Strengthening self-trust and self-compassion
-
Creating healthier boundaries and relationships
-
Developing greater resilience, flexibility, and ease
Over time, therapy can help you feel more connected to yourself, more present in your relationships, and more confident in responding to life's challenges.

What working together looks like
Our work together is collaborative, gentle, and responsive to what feels supportive for you.
Rather than rushing toward solutions, we take time to understand what your experiences are communicating. We work with both your thoughts and your lived experience in the body because lasting change often requires more than simply understanding why you feel the way you do.
Sessions may include conversation, reflection, nervous system awareness, somatic practices, attachment-focused exploration, and evidence-based approaches when appropriate. The process unfolds in a way that honours your capacity and supports meaningful, sustainable change.
What makes my approach different
Many therapy approaches focus primarily on reducing symptoms or changing thoughts. While those tools can be valuable, I also pay close attention to the deeper patterns that shaped those symptoms in the first place.
My work is grounded in relational, attachment-based, and somatic therapy, recognizing that our relationships, nervous system, and life experiences all influence how we move through the world.
Healing doesn't happen through insight alone. It happens when your nervous system experiences something different. This might mean experiencing consistency, being met with curiosity instead of judgment, or discovering that you no longer have to carry everything on your own.
As a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with advanced training in Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy and EMDR, I integrate evidence-based trauma therapies with an attuned therapeutic relationship. Together, we create a space where your system can begin to experience greater safety, regulation, and connection.
Rather than seeing your struggles as problems to eliminate, we approach them with curiosity, recognizing that many of your patterns developed for understandable reasons.

Common questions
What concerns do you support in individual therapy?
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, attachment wounds, and nervous system dysregulation.
What approaches do you use?
My work integrates relational therapy, Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT-informed strategies, mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. Every session is tailored to your needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Is online therapy effective?
Yes. Research shows virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns, including anxiety, trauma, stress, and relationship challenges. Many people also appreciate being able to access support from the comfort and privacy of their own home.
How do I get started?
The first step is a complimentary 15–20 minute consultation. It's an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
